Sumy under attack by drones: four explosions hit residential areas and businesses

Today, on September 25, 2025, the city of Sumy was attacked by Russian attack drones. This was reported by the mayor of Sumy, Artem Kobzar, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
According to preliminary data, there were four explosions, two of which hit the territory of a private enterprise, one hit the residential sector, and another hit a utility company in the city.

Fortunately, there were no casualties, but the damage to infrastructure and panic among the population is significant.
The course of events
- According to the mayor of Sumy, Artem Kobzar, the strikes were carried out by Italmash drones (also known as Vyril-54, Geranium-3, or Lawnmower).
- Two drones hit the territory of a private enterprise.
- One drone hit a residential area, damaging at least 27 windows in high-rise buildings.
- Another strike occurred near a utility company of the Sumy City Council.
- According to preliminary information, there were no civilian casualties. However, in Zarichny district, a resident was diagnosed with an acute stress reaction.
