Why this facility is important

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Marine Oil Terminal in Feodosia is a key hub for the supply of fuel and lubricants.

Fuel is delivered through it:

  • by sea to Crimea;
  • to the occupied territories in southern Ukraine.

Previous attacks

Ukrainian forces have already attacked this facility on multiple occasions.

Specifically:

  • On October 6 and 13 of last year, strikes caused a massive fire that lasted several days;
  • attacks were also recorded in 2023 and 2024.

Following previous strikes, the occupying authorities declared a man-made emergency and evacuated the population near the facility.
