Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Oleksandr Syrskyi visited units in Kharkiv region, “where there is a threat of new offensive actions by the enemy.”
This is stated in his post on the Telegram channel published on Saturday, July 5, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
“I do not ignore any part of the frontline, in particular in those areas where there is a threat of new offensive actions by the enemy. I spent two days working in units in the Kharkiv region. I am working together with the commander of the Joint Forces, the commander of the Khortytsia Joint Forces Operation, Major General Mykhailo Drapaty,” said Syrskyi.
According to the commander-in-chief, about a dozen battles are taking place in the South Slobozhansky sector every day. Over the past week, Ukrainian troops repelled more than 60 Russian assaults.
Syrsky said he had discussed with the command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the National Guard how to strengthen the defense and gave instructions to resolve problematic issues.
“The Russians are trying to put pressure by numbers, but we have to be on the alert, apply effective tactical and technological solutions to prevent the invaders from advancing,” he said.
