Syrsky named three areas where the situation at the front is most difficult

3 August 05:18

The most difficult situation is now on the Pokrovsk, Dobropil and Novopavlivka frontlines. The enemy is stepping up its efforts to capture our key agglomerations, looking for vulnerabilities in our defense, and conducting active hostilities in several areas simultaneously.

This was stated by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi in a post on social media, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

At the same time, the Russians are resorting to the tactic of “total infiltration” with the increase of sabotage actions in our rear. In this way, they are trying to enter Pokrovsk in particular. However, Russian subversive and small infantry groups are being neutralized.

In order to effectively counteract subversive groups, we have created and are using anti-sabotage reserves, whose task is to search for and destroy enemy subversive groups.

I discussed with the local commanders the issue of strengthening the resilience of defense, engineering equipment of positions, mine and non-explosive barriers, other fortifications, and anti-drone tunnels. Such work is underway, but it needs to be more active, broader, and comprehensive.

He clarified other problematic issues. I gave the orders necessary for the effective fulfillment of defense tasks and resolution of problematic issues on the spot.

I thank the defenders of the Ukrainian Donetsk region for their courage and endurance. For their invaluable self-sacrifice in deterring the superior enemy.
