The alert system for Kyiv region is not being modernized: what is the reason?

The State Audit Service of Ukraine has found violations in the procurement of a public warning system for Kyiv region worth more than UAH 133.5 million, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

This is a project to modernize the territorial automated system, which was supposed to strengthen the region’s ability to respond quickly to air raid threats.
What we know
Based on the results of the procurement monitoring, the auditors found that the Department of Civil Protection of the Kyiv Regional State Administration chose a private company that did not meet the technical requirements of the tender.
The violations could have affected the quality and reliability of the alert system, so the State Audit Service ordered the RSA to cancel the bidding results.
