The situation at the front: General Staff names two hottest areas

The nine hundred and ninety-fifth day of the Russian Federation’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun. Over the past day, 161 combat engagements took place, with most of the fighting taking place in the Kurakhove and Pokrovsk sectors. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the General Staff.

Yesterday, the enemy launched two missile attacks on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements using five missiles, as well as 100 air strikes, including 179 guided aerial bombs. In addition, it carried out more than 4,840 attacks, including 124 from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 1,677 kamikaze drones to attack.

The enemy carried out air strikes, in particular in the areas of Basivka, Zhuravka, Yunakivka, Velyka Pysarivka, Odnorobivka, Kozacha Lopan, Liptsi, Pishchane, Kivsharivka, Zahryzove, Novoosynove, Kupyansk, Holubivka, Bohuslavka, Serhiivka, Ivanivka, and Novoyehorivka, Yampolivka, Terny, Siversk, Zvanivka, Mykolaivka, Chasiv Yar, Kramatorsk, Dachne, Katerynivka, Toretsk, Petrivka, Kostyantynivka, Pushkino, Sukha Balka, Myrnohrad, Shevchenko, Kurakhove, Velyka Novosilka, Bilohirya, Zelene Pole, Novopil, Natalivka, Zaporizhzhia, Kozatske.

Situation at the front

In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy conducted eight offensive and assault actions in the areas of Vovchansk and Vysoka Yaruga.

The number of combat engagements in the Kupyansk sector reached 12 over the last day. Defense forces repelled occupants’ attacks in the areas of Lozova, Kucherivka, Petropavlivka, Kolisnykivka, Zahryzove, Kruhlyakivka and Pershotravneve.

In the Lyman sector, our troops stopped eight enemy attacks. The invaders concentrated their main efforts in the areas of Cherneshchyna, Zarichne, Novoyehorivka and Terny.

One firefight took place in the Kramatorsk sector near Stupochky.

In the Toretsk sector, the enemy attempted to advance seven times in the areas of Toretsk and Nelipivka.

ukrainian troops repelled 40 attacks in the Pokrovsk sector over the last day . The enemy tried to advance near Sukhoi Balka, Promin, Lysivka, Krutyi Yar, Hryhorivka, Dachenske, Myrolyubivka, Petrivka, Novooleksiivka and Pustynka.

Defense forces continue to hold back the enemy in the Kurakhove direction. In the areas of Berestky, Illinka, Novoselydivka, Sontsovka, Kreminna Balka, Voznesenka, Novodmitrivka, Maksymilianivka, Dale, Antonivka and Katerynivka, the occupants tried to break through Ukrainian defenses 45 times.

Ten enemy attacks were stopped by our defenders near the settlements of Rivne, Novopil, Trudove, Kostiantynopolske and Makarivka in the Vremivsk sector.

Inthe Orikhivsk sector, enemy units tried to advance three times in the directions of Novodanylivka and Novoandriivka.

Inthe Prydniprovsky sector , the invaders attacked the positions of our troops five times without success.

The operational situation in the Volyn and Polissya sectors remained unchanged. No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups have been detected.

On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the enemy maintains a military presence, conducts reconnaissance activities and artillery shelling.

The Ukrainian defense forces continue to conduct operations in the Kursk sector , where the enemy launched twenty-eight air strikes using 40 guided bombs over the past day, and Ukrainian defenders repelled thirteen enemy attacks.

Enemy losses

Missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces conducted five strikes on areas of concentration of personnel and weapons, one on a command and control center and two on enemy artillery systems over the past day, and aviation struck another important enemy object.

In total, the losses of the Russian invaders amounted to 1690 people over the past day. In addition, Ukrainian troops neutralized 19 tanks, 51 armored combat vehicles, 64 artillery systems, three multiple launch rocket systems, one air defense system, 54 operational and tactical UAVs, four cruise missiles and 124 occupant vehicles.
