Kyiv is planning a significant increase in heating tariffs – up to 50% on average. This was reported by the utility company Kyivteploenergo, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

According to official information, the new tariffs may come into effect from the beginning of the new heating season – from October 1, 2025, subject to approval by the relevant state regulators.

Kyivteploenergo cites rising energy prices, inflation, infrastructure repair costs, and the need to maintain stable heat supply in wartime as the reasons for the increase.

The company also emphasized that the tariffs have not been revised since 2021, and the economically justified cost of heat is much higher than the current prices. The new tariffs are expected to ensure the smooth running of the heating season and avoid accidents.

At the same time, the Kyiv City Administration assured that vulnerable categories of the population will receive subsidies and other forms of compensation for increased costs.
