Shadow schemes have been eliminated: Zelensky announces tough sanctions

Zelensky announced the first results after recent personnel changes in the tax service and financial monitoring.
The President emphasized that it has already been possible to stop a number of shadow financial schemes that have been operating in the country for years.
“The heads of the tax service and financial monitoring have recently been replaced, and there are already first results. The results of shadow financial schemes that have finally been stopped. And this applies to oligarchs, officials, MPs, and those who used or are using various funds to actually hide money. Billions of hryvnias,” the President said.

According to Zelenskyy, all relevant materials have already been handed over to law enforcement agencies, and now the investigations must be objective and impartial:
“Investigations must be objective – regardless of who breaks the law.”
Sanctions
The NSDC meeting also decided to impose new sanctions, the lists of which will be made public in the near future. The President announced several tough sanctions packages:
“The decision on sanctions was also made at the NSDC. The lists will be published soon. There will be several tough packages.”
It should be noted that the Cabinet of Ministers dismissed the head of the State Financial Monitoring Service, Ihor Cherkasky, at a meeting on December 31. He was replaced by Philip Pronin, who was the head of the Poltava Regional State Administration.
The Cabinet of Ministers also appointed Ruslan Kravchenko, the former head of the Kyiv Regional Audit Office, as the head of the State Tax Service.
