Trump announced the clearance of the Strait of Hormuz: U.S. Navy ships have passed through the strait
11 April 18:12
U.S. President Donald Trump announced that the United States is beginning the process of clearing mines from the Strait of Hormuz. Meanwhile, it has been reported that U.S. Navy ships have passed through the strait.
This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian", citing a post by Trump on the social media platform Truth Social and the publication Axios.
In his post, Trump wrote that “the fake media has completely lost credibility” because, due to “Trump hatred syndrome,” they love to say that Iran is “winning.”
The U.S. leader himself points out that this is not the case, and that in reality, Iran is losing—and “losing very badly.”
“Their navy has been destroyed, their air force has been destroyed, their anti-aircraft artillery no longer exists, their radars aren’t working, their missile and drone factories have been practically destroyed along with the missiles and drones themselves, and, most importantly, their long-standing ‘leaders’ are no longer with us, praise be to Allah!” Trump writes.
According to him, the only thing left for Iran is the threat that a ship might “strike” one of the sea mines in the Strait of Hormuz. Trump immediately added that all 28 of Tehran’s minesweepers are already at the bottom of the sea, and also announced the demining of the strait.
” We are now beginning the process of clearing the Strait of Hormuz as a service to countries around the world, including China, Japan, South Korea, France, Germany, and many others. Incredibly, they have neither the courage nor the will to do this work on their own. However, what is very interesting is that empty oil tankers from many countries are heading to the U.S. to load up on oil,” the president said.
Meanwhile, Axios journalist Barak Ravid writes that, according to his source, “several U.S. Navy ships” crossed the Strait of Hormuz today.
“This move was not coordinated with Iran. This is the first time U.S. military ships have crossed the Strait of Hormuz since the start of the war,” he added.
However, it is unclear exactly which ships entered the strait. As is known, a day earlier, Trump said that an assessment of the negotiations with Iran would be given within 24 hours. He added that the U.S. is preparing for a negative scenario and that its ships are receiving new weapons in case diplomacy fails.
