Trump after summit with Putin: no key results achieved

After meeting with Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin in Alaska, US President Donald Trump said that no progress had been made on the most important issue. At the same time, he expressed hope that the situation would be remedied in the next talks. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the broadcast of the press conference.
Although Trump did not explicitly specify the issue at hand, he had previously emphasized that a ceasefire in Ukraine was a priority. Despite the lack of concrete progress, the American leader called the meeting “most productive.”
The talks lasted almost three hours, but no details on the topics discussed were disclosed.
“What has been done is quite criminal, but from a business point of view, this is a great country. I’d like to have a relationship with them when this stops,” Trump said.
The US president also hinted at a possible new meeting with Putin. The Russian leader asked if it could take place in Moscow, to which Trump replied: “An interesting invitation, maybe it will happen.”
The American president’s speech was short, and journalists were not given the opportunity to ask questions. Trump added that he plans to discuss the results of the summit by phone with the leaders of other countries, including Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The agreement on such talks was reached on August 13.
