US President-elect Donald Trump has promised to launch the “largest deportation operation in American history” on his first day in office. This is reported by the New York Post, "Komersant Ukrainian" informs.

“On my first day in the Oval Office, I will sign a historic series of executive orders to close our border to illegal immigrants and stop the invasion of our country. And on the same day, we will launch the largest deportation operation in American history, larger than under President Dwight Eisenhower,” Trump said during a speech at the Turning Point Action AmericaFest conference in Arizona.

Throughout his 2024 election campaign, Trump has promised to conduct a campaign of mass deportation of illegal immigrants living in the United States.

He appointed the former acting director of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement to head the Border Patrol.

Trump also emphasized the importance of the platform for his presidential campaign, which has garnered billions of views.

“We had an incredible response on TikTok: billions of views. When I looked at that data, I thought maybe I should keep the platform for a while longer,” Trump said.

During his first administration, Trump signed an executive order to block the popular video-sharing site, but a court later rejected the move.
