Commenting on the possibility of a third presidential term, White House President Donald Trump admitted that he had not thought about it, but his ratings are better than ever.
His words are quoted by Bloomberg, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
“I haven’t really thought about it. We have great candidates, but my ratings are better than ever,” he answered the journalist’s question.
In August, Trump said that the public wants him to serve a third term.
Prior to that, the son of the US President Donald Trump Jr. said on Truth Social that his father had the same chances of winning the next election.
The president’s son attached to the post a Fox News article with a forecast about the Republicans’ chances of winning the presidency. It estimates the probability of Donald Trump’s victory in the 2028 elections at 4%.
The United States Constitution currently prohibits the president from serving more than two consecutive terms.
Donald Trump is currently serving his second term after his first presidential term in 2017-2021.
