Three fashion houses, Gucci, Chloe and Loewe, have been fined a total of 157 million euros by the European Union’s antitrust authority for setting resale prices for their retail partners.

This was reported by Reuters, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

In particular, Gucci was fined 119.7 million euros. As for Chloé and Loewe, they were punished by 19.7 and 18 million euros, respectively. This indicates that regulators are tightening their control over luxury companies.

According to the European Commission, these three companies interfered with the commercial strategies of their retailers by imposing restrictions on them. This includes the requirement not to deviate from recommended retail prices, maximum discounts and certain sales periods. Such steps have deprived retailers of pricing independence and reduced competition.
