Since the beginning of the year, PURL has already received $584 million in contributions. At the same time, the total funding requirement for 2026 is estimated at $15 billion.

This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian", citing a statement by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

“I am grateful to everyone who contributes to PURL. In 2026, we already have financial contributions from the United Kingdom, Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden, Iceland, and Latvia totaling $584 million,” the president said.

He noted that Russia continues its attempts to destroy Ukraine’s critical infrastructure, and PURL remains a reliable mechanism for purchasing American air defense missiles, which are the most effective against Russian ballistics.

This makes it possible to protect the power grid during the winter cold.

“At the same time, the total requirement for PURL in 2026 is $15 billion. This will help deprive Russia of its instrument of air terror, and we call on all those interested in security to join and expand their contributions to the PURL program,” the head of state added.

PURL program: what is known

PURL – Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List – is a joint program of the US and NATO aimed at accelerating the supply of weapons to Ukraine. As part of this initiative, Kyiv compiles a list of the most important weapons needs and sends it to its allies.

The partners, in turn, finance the purchase of American weapons that meet the stated requirements.

The main goal of PURL is to provide Ukraine with regular arms supplies worth about $500 million. Among the priorities identified by Ukraine itself are the critically needed Patriot systems. NATO coordinates the logistics and transportation of military equipment.
