Pressure on Moscow is growing: Trump promises Ukraine “the best weapons in the world”

Ukraine and Russia will soon sit down at the negotiating table. They have many reasons to do so.
According to "Komersant Ukrainian", US President Donald Trump said this during a meeting with Finnish President Alexander Stubb.
When asked if he was going to increase pressure for a peace agreement for Ukraine, Trump said that he was already doing so with NATO.
“We’re all stepping up the pressure. NATO is doing a great job… and they’re increasing the pressure. And we sell a lot of weapons to NATO. And it goes, I think, mostly to Ukraine. It depends on them. But they buy weapons from the United States. We make a deal. The best weapons in the world,” the US president said.
Trump emphasized that Ukraine and Russia will soon sit down at the negotiating table.

“This is a terrible war. It was worse than World War II. You look at the people who are being killed. It’s Russia and Ukraine. I think we will do it too. There are many reasons for them to do it. And I think they will come to the negotiating table soon,” he said.
The American leader also reiterated that he may impose additional sanctions against Russia.

At the same time, the Russian dictator’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that there was a “serious pause” in the negotiations to end the war in Ukraine.
