In 2025, Ukrainian emergency responders saved the lives of 7,782 people.

Throughout 2025, units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine carried out 492,703 call-outs to deal with the aftermath of emergencies, dangerous incidents, and firefighting. Of these , 56,604 calls were related to the elimination of the consequences of hostilities, with the highest number in the Kharkiv, Kherson, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions. The State Emergency Service reported this to the publication "Komersant Ukrainian" in response to a request.
“During the work, 8,766 fires caused by shelling were extinguished, and 537 buildings and structures destroyed during the hostilities were dismantled,” the Service specified.
Among them:
- 241 residential buildings, including 94 multi-story buildings;
- 13 healthcare facilities;
- 25 educational institutions;
- 50 life support facilities;
- 208 other structures.
Rescuers saved 140 people from the rubble and recovered 333 bodies.
In total, in 2025, the State Emergency Service saved the lives of 7,782 people and protected 13,955 buildings and 1,334 pieces of equipment from fire.
In addition to working at the sites of shelling and fires, rescue service units provided assistance to local authorities, in particular:
- transporting 29 tons of food;
- delivering 11,055 tons of drinking and technical water;
- restored 5,182 window openings in more than 194 critical infrastructure and social facilities.
As emphasized by the State Emergency Service, the work of rescuers in 2025 focused on protecting human lives, restoring infrastructure, and ensuring the livelihoods of the population, particularly in frontline regions where the effects of hostilities are most acute.
