A Molotov cocktail was thrown at the home of OpenAI CEO Sam Altman

The San Francisco villa of Sam Altman, co-founder and CEO of OpenAI, was attacked on Friday, April 10: A 20-year-old man threw a bottle containing a flammable mixture at the property, causing the gate to catch fire, but no one was injured, local police reported, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

The attacker fled but was later apprehended. He also threatened to set fire to the company’s headquarters in San Francisco.

According to the local publication San Francisco Chronicle, the suspect, Alejandro Daniel Moreno-Gama, has been taken into custody.

Police: The attacker’s motive is unclear

Police noted that the motive for his actions is unclear. Meanwhile, OpenAI, known as the developer of the AI-based chatbot ChatGPT, and its CEO Sam Altman have recently become the target of protests by opponents of artificial intelligence, who view this technology as a threat to humanity.
