Diia received 416,000 online marriage proposals in three days

The marriage proposal in Diia became the trend of the week. In three days, users made 416,133 proposals. In addition, in the first 24 hours alone, Ukrainians booked marriage dates 2 months in advance. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

“Ukrainians are getting married with Diia Marriage Online, a revolutionary service, and we can see by its popularity that it is very much needed – in just the first 24 hours, you booked marriage dates 2 months in advance! And the proposal in Diia, without exaggeration, became the trend of the week,” Fedorov said.

If you look at the results for 3 days in numbers, users made 416,133 proposals. At the same time, there were 49,282 positive responses.

In addition, 1,247 couples have applied for marriage, and 197 couples have already married since the beta launch.

Recently, a new service was made available to Ukrainians in the Diia mobile application for administrative services: now they can get married using it.

The system will offer free dates for the ceremony via video, but not earlier than five days before the event.

The marriage certificate will be automatically pulled up in Diia, and the couple can order the physical document by Ukrposhta delivery or pick it up at a Ukrposhta branch.

Couples can take the test if they are

  • are adult citizens of Ukraine;
  • have an identification code;
  • ID-card or biometric passport in Diia;
  • are single or officially divorced.
