Day of mourning for those killed in missile attack announced in Dnipro

Today, December 2, Dnipro has declared a day of mourning for the victims of yesterday’s rocket attack. Four people were killed in the city. This was written in a telegram by the acting head of the Regional Military Administration Vladislav Gayvanenko, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
“Dnipro in mourning”: what is known
In his address, Gaivanenko emphasized that the Russian missile claimed the lives of four people:
“Blessed memory to the victims. Condolences to all those who lost their loved ones.”
According to the latest updated data, two more people have sought medical assistance, bringing the number of wounded to 45.
Strikes in the region: what happened at night
Evening and night in Dnipropetrovs’k region also passed under enemy attacks:
- The Lychkiv community in Samarivskyi district was hit by kamikaze drones. Fires broke out and infrastructure facilities were damaged.
- The Mezhivska community of Synelnykivskyi district was attacked by KAB bombs. Two elderly people were injured – a 77-year-old man and a 79-year-old woman.
- Nikopol district was again under artillery fire – in particular, the Pokrovske community was shelled.
Air defense and the extent of damage
According to the military, 7 enemy UAVs were shot down over the region.
In Dnipro itself, the consequences of yesterday’s strike are very large-scale. The following were damaged:
- an administrative building
- several enterprises;
- 4 educational institutions;
- 4 high-rise buildings;
- 2 SERVICE STATIONS;
- more than 50 cars.
City services and rescuers continue to eliminate the consequences of the attack.
