A car driver drove into a crowd of people at a popular resort in France. This was reported by the French newspaper Le Parisien, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
The incident occurred on the morning of November 5 on the island of Dolu d’Oléron. According to the newspaper, the driver deliberately ran over pedestrians and cyclists. At least ten people were injured, three of them in serious condition, the national gendarmerie reported. Several victims were taken by helicopter to the University Hospital of Poitiers. The driver was detained at the scene. His motives are being investigated.
As reported by the British newspaper The Sun, citing information from French media, according to preliminary data, the driver shouted “Allahu Akbar” when he crashed into a crowd of people in a car. After the incident, he reportedly even tried to set his own car on fire.
