Ukrainian women killed in Greece: details of the fatal incident

Two Ukrainian women, a mother and daughter, drowned while on holiday in Greece. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to “Ukrinform news agency.

The media outlet received a comment from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which referred to the deaths of Ukrainian citizens.

on 30 September, the Coast Guard of Corfu Island (Greece) informed the Ukrainian Embassy that two Ukrainian women had died at sea while on holiday. The women drowned. The elder of the deceased was a woman born in 1972. The younger one, her daughter, was born in 1992.

The Embassy of Ukraine is currently in contact with the local competent authorities, the medical facility to which the bodies were taken, and the insurance company. The families of the victims have also been informed of their deaths.

Neither the media nor the relevant ministry has provided any additional information.
