Electricity prices for households will remain unchanged during the heating season. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

The Cabinet of Ministers has extended special obligations in the electricity market until April 30, 2026. This means that tariffs for households will remain unchanged at least for the coming winter and part of the spring.

During this year’s heating season, citizens will continue to pay UAH 4.32 per kWh.

Preferential price for electric heating

In addition, the preferential price for consumers who use electric heating has been preserved. The following system will apply to them:

  • Up to 2,000 kWh per month: uAH 2.64 per kWh.
  • Over 2,000 kWh per month: uAH 4.32 per kWh.

Svyrydenko emphasized that this decision is part of a comprehensive program to support Ukrainians in the winter, aimed at reducing the financial pressure on families during the heating season.

The Government also continued to impose special obligations on natural gas market players. The fixed price for natural gas for households and budgetary institutions will remain unchanged until March 31, 2026.

The Cabinet of Ministers banned the disconnection of electricity and gas to some debtors

Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers banned the disconnection of electricity and gas to debtors in the frontline areas during the upcoming heating season.

The Cabinet of Ministers has instructed the relevant authorities to develop plans for a stable heating season. They should do so taking into account the current situation in each frontline region.

“The supply of electricity and gas must be uninterrupted, so disconnections for debts accumulated during martial law are unacceptable. The government has given a corresponding order,” Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko emphasized.

According to her, the purpose of this decision is to ensure the stable operation of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure in the winter, as well as to provide citizens with heat and light, regardless of enemy attacks.
