Kharkiv announces a day of mourning for those killed in the Epicentre

Today, 27 May, Kharkiv has declared a day of mourning for the victims of the Epicentre. This is stated in the order of Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov, reports "Komersant Ukrainian"

The mayor’s office stressed that as a sign of mourning for those killed on 25 May as a result of an enemy strike on a civilian infrastructure facility, the national flag with a black ribbon will be at half-mast on buildings and structures of local government, enterprises, institutions and organisations.

Entertainment music is also prohibited in markets, trade and catering establishments, etc.

on 25 May, Russia strikes the Epicentre hypermarket in Kharkiv with aerial munitions.

After the strike, the roof of the building collapsed and fell onto the shopping floors. The fire lasted for 16 hours. At the time of the air strike, there were about two hundred people in the building. There were 16 dead and 44 injured.

11 victims have been identified, including a 12-year-old girl and her mother.

The Office of the Prosecutor General reported that four fragments of human bodies were found. Seven people are currently missing.
