Oil depot caught fire in Crimea

A fire broke out at an oil depot in occupied Crimean Feodosia. Oleg Kryuchkov, “adviser to the head of Crimea” Sergei Aksyonov, reported this in a statement, "Komersant Ukrainian" citing Russian media.

“Violation of the welding technology. <…> The remains of fuel oil in one of the old tanks are burning,” the statement reads.

According to him, the Ministry of Emergency Situations is already working at the scene. Kryuchkov clarified that the Feodosia oil depot does not supply fuel and lubricants to Crimean gas stations.

Over the past month, Ukrainian drones have carried out a series of targeted attacks on key Russian oil refineries and fuel infrastructure facilities. For example, in late August, Ukrainian Armed Forces drones attacked refineries in Krasnodar and Syzran, and recently unmanned systems confirmed the damage to one of Russia’s largest refineries, followed by the largest oil export terminal Primorsk and the Kirishinefteorgsintez refinery, one of Russia’s two largest oil refineries. Experts estimate that Ukrainian attacks on Russian refineries have shut down 17% of oil refining capacity, and this figure is only growing.
