Card payments in public transport may be disrupted in Kyiv – Kyiv City State Administration’s advice on what to do

On the night of September 19, a Russian attack damaged the connection channel to the telecommunications network operator that provides services to Kyivpastrans. As a result, the capital may experience temporary disruptions in card payments and ticket validation at turnstiles at high-speed tram and funicular stations. This was reported by the Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA), "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
“Due to the consequences of the night attack, the official website of the enterprise is temporarily down,” the administration said.
Citizens are advised to use alternative methods in case of interruptions in the turnstile system.
“If validation at the station is not available, we recommend that you validate your ticket directly in the tram,” the KCSA informed.
Currently, Kyivpastrans specialists are working with the telecommunications network operator to restore stable operation of the services.
It should be noted that on September 19, Russia attacked Kyiv with drones, and the debris damaged the trolleybus network.
Preliminary, the wreckage of the downed UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) was found at several locations.
