Meteorological autumn has come to Kyiv

The beginning of meteorological autumn was recorded in Kyiv. It began on September 24, which is a week later than the climate norm.
This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the Central Geophysical Observatory.
Autumn is defined by a steady transition of the average daily air temperature below 15 degrees Celsius.
The earliest meteorological autumn in Kyiv was on August 25, 1993. The latest it began on October 15, 2020.
This year’s date is relatively late, but not a record.
This year’s meteorological summer lasted from May 21 to September 23. In total, it covered 126 days.
For comparison, the longest summer was in 2012 and lasted 166 days. The shortest was recorded in 1990 – only 88 days.
