A man who, according to the conclusions of the military qualification commission, was fit for service, died in one of the territorial recruitment and social support centres in Transcarpathia. “On 23 May, a person liable for military service, who was in one of the regional military commissariats and was fit for service according to the conclusions of the military medical commission, felt unwell. He was provided with first aid and an ambulance was called, which pronounced him dead upon arrival,”
– the statement reads.
The Transcarpathian Regional Medical and Clinical Commission noted that the freelance military medical commissions at the Medical and Clinical Commission include doctors from municipal and state-owned healthcare facilities appointed by the executive committee of the city, village, or town council.
“Unfortunately, there are cases when doctors from the MECs declare people liable for military service fit for duty, but then tragedies occur. We express our condolences to the family and friends. We would like to inform you that an internal investigation has been ordered into this incident,”
– commented the organisation.
