Police in the Polish city of Mędzyżec have arrested a 39-year-old local resident who repeatedly stole diesel fuel from parked trucks. This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to Polish Instagram channels.

The man used an unusual method of disguise – he covered himself with a white sheet with holes cut for his eyes, pretending to be a ghost. This “costume” was supposed to make it difficult for witnesses and CCTV cameras to recognize him.

The offender repeatedly committed thefts, causing losses of several hundred zlotys each time. The police even dubbed his method of operation the “ghost method” because of his characteristic props.

Despite his clever disguise, law enforcement officers were able to identify and detain the man. During the search of his apartment, police found plastic containers for storing stolen fuel and the “ghost” sheet.

the 39-year-old detainee was charged with burglary. Under Polish law, he faces up to 10 years in prison.
