A resolution to dismiss Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olha Stefanishyna has been registered in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. The initiative belongs to a group of MPs from the European Solidarity faction, in particular Oleksiy Honcharenko, who announced this on his Telegram channel, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
In particular, the resolution was initiated by a group of MPs from the European Solidarity faction – Oleksiy Honcharenko, Oleh Synyutka, Volodymyr Ariev, Maksym Savrasov and Sofia Fedina.
Goncharenko claims that Stefanishyna should be released immediately.
According to him, the reason for this step is recent journalistic investigations that have revealed that the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) has transferred a number of properties, including the Trade Union Building in central Kyiv, to a company allegedly linked to Stefanishyna’s ex-husband, Mykhailo Stefanishyn.
“Thus, she illegally gained control over state property through the ARMA-controlled company. While the investigation is investigating the case, Stefanishyna cannot continue to hold the post of minister and steal state property,” the MP emphasized.
On June 4, Ukrayinska Pravda reported that the company that became the manager of the Trade Union Building on Independence Square could be linked to Stefanishyna’s family.
In turn, the Deputy Prime Minister herself responded on Facebook the next day, stating that she had nothing to do with her ex-husband’s activities and communicated with him only in matters related to their children.
As of the time of publication, there was no reaction from Olga Stefanishyna regarding the registered resolution.
