Men aged 18 to 24 may be allowed to travel outside Ukraine. This initiative is being discussed in parliament.

This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to a statement by the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk, quoted by We-Ukraine.

“The Ukrainian parliament is currently 398 people with the right of legislative initiative. There are a lot of initiatives in the parliament. I know that this topic is being discussed, including at the level of a special committee,” the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada said.

According to him, there are ideas in the parliament regarding the departure of men under 24, but it is not yet known what the decision of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence will be.

“People aged 18 to 25 are those who are not subject to mobilization, but do not have the opportunity to exercise one of their rights. Therefore, we must find a mechanism to enable them to realize all these rights. I will wait for the committee to tell me what mechanism will be found. Some members of the committee are working on liberalization,” Stefanchuk added.

As a reminder, during martial law, men aged 18 to 60 are not allowed to travel outside Ukraine. However, some categories of persons liable for military service are allowed to travel abroad.
