Mi-8 helicopter crashes in Russia: all crew killed

An Mi-8 military transport helicopter crashed in the Khabarovsk region of Russia. All five people on board were killed.

This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

According to official data, the helicopter was en route from the town of Okhotsk to Magadan on July 14 after undergoing repairs. Communication with the helicopter was lost during the flight, after which it was searched for.

Two days later, on July 16, the wreckage of the aircraft with traces of fire was found near Cape Gadikan.

According to the Astra Telegram channel, there were three crew members and two aviation technicians on board. The Russian Emergencies Ministry confirmed that all were killed.
