Seven subjects will be compulsory in high school

Ukrainian language, literature, history of Ukraine, English, mathematics, physical education and defence of Ukraine – these are the 7 subjects that will become compulsory for students of the senior specialised school to be introduced in 2027, Komersant ukrainskyi reports citing Osvita.ua.

The Ministry of Education and Science presented the changes that will take place with the implementation of the reform of specialised education. One of the innovations stipulates that 7 subjects will be compulsory in high school, while other subjects will be chosen by students depending on their choice of study profile.

In grade 10, there will be fewer “profile” subjects and more compulsory subjects for all students. In grades 11-12, the number of core and elective classes will increase.
