On Saturday, March 7, most regions of Ukraine will introduce hourly power outages for the population. The restrictions will take effect at 8:00 a.m. and will last until the end of the day.
This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to Ukrenergo.
When and where the power will be cut off
According to energy officials, the power outage schedules will apply in most regions of Ukraine.
- for domestic consumers — hourly power outages
- for industry — power restrictions.
The company noted that the final power cut schedule will be determined by regional energy companies (oblenergo).
They will publish:
- the exact time of power cuts
- the order of consumers
- changes in the schedules.

Energy experts emphasize that the situation in the power system is dynamic, so restrictions may change throughout the day.
Ukrainians are encouraged to check for the latest information on:

Ukraine has resumed electricity exports
Despite the difficult situation in the power system, Ukraine resumed electricity exports on March 5.
However, supplies are being made:
- only at certain times of the day
- in minimal volumes
- only when there is a surplus in the energy system.
Why new restrictions are possible
Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine had managed to get through the most difficult winter in years of full-scale war.
At the same time, the head of state warned that Russia could intensify its attacks on energy infrastructure in the spring, creating additional risks for the stable operation of the power grid.
