The sound of an explosion was heard in the city of Sumy.
This was reported by Suspilne, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
“The sound of an explosion was heard in Sumy,” the report says.
According to the acting mayor of Sumy Artem Kobzar, the whole city is now in smoke.
“There was an explosion in Sumy. Apparently, it was the “shahed” that was flying around the city for an hour and a half. The city is in smoke. We will provide detailed information,” he said in Telegram.
Later, Kobzar said that a Shahed UAV hit one of the city’s parking lots.
“As of now, there is no information about the dead. One person was injured, he is currently in an ambulance. All relevant services are working at the scene,” he added.
As a reminder, on April 13, Russian troops fired two ballistic missiles at the center of Sumy. The death toll from the Russian strike rose to 34, including two children. There were also reports of 119 injuries, including 15 children.
