The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has codified and officially approved for use in the Armed Forces a new Ukrainian-made remote-controlled combat module called “Predator”.

This was reported by the Ministry of Defense with reference to the Main Directorate for Support of the Life Cycle of Weapons and Military Equipment, reports [Kommersant].

According to the agency, the “Predator” can be used both on mobile platforms and in a stationary version. The module is equipped with 7.62 mm machine guns that support both Soviet-style and NATO-standard ammunition.

The complex is capable of precision fire at small arms ranges, including targets on the ground and in the air, and the stabilization system ensures accurate firing even when in motion.

The Ministry of Defense also reminded manufacturers of weapons and military equipment of the availability of open information on the procedures for codifying new models – it can be found at the relevant link on the ministry’s website.
