The number of women in the Armed Forces has tripled

Over the 10 years of the war with Russia, the number of women soldiers in the Armed Forces of Ukraine has almost tripled. This was reported on the Military Media Centre channel, Kommersant Ukrainian reports 
Thus, from 2014 to 2024, the total number of women in the Armed Forces increased from 49 to 62 thousand. However, the share of female servicewomen has almost tripled – from 16,557 to 45,587.
13,487 of them have the status of combatants, and more than 4,000 are in the combat zone.
As reported by Kommersant Ukrainian recently, MP Sovsun called for the mobilisation of women.
