Ukraine puts Putin’s friends, the Rothenberg oligarchs, on the wanted list

Ukraine has put sanctioned Russian oligarchs Arkady and Igor Rotenberg on the wanted list. They are close to dictator Vladimir Putin. This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
According to the cards in the Interior Ministry’s wanted database, Arkady Rotenberg is wanted by the Strategic Investigations Department of the National Police, and his son Igor Rotenberg is wanted by the National Police.
Both have the date of disappearance as 17.08.22.
The Department of Strategic Investigations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine has put Russian billionaire Arkady Rotenberg on the wanted list under the following articles:
- article 110-2, part 4 (Financing of actions committed with the aim of violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order or seizure of state power, change of the boundaries of the territory or state border of Ukraine),
- art. 209(3) (Article 209. Legalisation (laundering) of the proceeds of crime committed by an organised group or on a particularly large scale)
- art. 212(3) (Tax evasion, duties (mandatory payments) committed by a person previously convicted of tax evasion, duties (mandatory payments), or if they resulted in actual non-receipt of funds to the budgets or state trust funds in particularly large amounts).

The National Police is searching for Arkady Rotenberg’s son, Russian billionaire Igor Rotenberg, under the same articles:

What is known about the Rotenberg oligarchs
Arkady Romanovich Rotenberg is a Russian oligarch. He is considered a close friend of Vladimir Putin. He is subject to international sanctions imposed by Western countries. His fortune is estimated at $3.5 billion.
The Rothenberg family built Nord Stream 2 and the Crimean Bridge. Rotenberg is listed as the owner of the so-called Putin Palace.
In 2020, Russian Forbes named the Rotenbergs the richest family in Russia with a fortune of $5.45 billion.
Since 2014, Rotenberg has been under US and EU sanctions. In October 2022, the National Security and Defence Council imposed sanctions on Rotenberg.
In March 2023, Ukraine nationalised Arkady Rotenberg’s assets, including the Ocean Plaza shopping mall in Kyiv.
Igor Rotenberg is a leading Russian businessman, eldest son and heir of Arkady Rotenberg. He is the former owner of Gazprom Drilling and a shareholder of the Platon electronic payment system.
Igor Rotenberg is also subject to Western sanctions.
