Ukraine imposes sanctions on Chinese companies supplying components for Russian drones

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed Decree No. 466/2025, which enacted the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine to impose sanctions on five Chinese companies. These are the suppliers of components for Shahed-type attack drones used by Russia in the war against Ukraine.

This was announced by the Presidential Commissioner for Sanctions Policy Vladyslav Vlasiuk, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

According to him, after the night attack on Kyiv on July 4, Chinese-made parts were found in the wreckage of the downed drones.

The sanctions, in particular, were imposed on Ningbo BLIN Machinery Co., Ltd and Suzhou ECOD Precision Manufacturing, which in 2024-2025 supplied products to Russian military-industrial enterprises already under international sanctions.

“Ukraine is working with partners in the sanctions coalition to introduce similar restrictions at the international level,” Vlasiuk said.

This decision was a continuation of the sanctions pressure: on June 27, Zelenskyy approved sanctions against 34 Russian companies and 52 Russian citizens, including those involved in the production of Shahed drones, chips and equipment for the Russian military industry.
