Ukrainian sets double world record at the World Powerlifting Championships

                                                                    At the World Powerlifting Championships held in Drummen, Norway, Ukrainian Ivan Chuprynko broke the world record twice. This was reported by the press service of the National Powerlifting Federation, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
“Ivan Chuprynko from Vinnytsia won the 83 kg weight category. The athlete clearly worked on three attempts, twice updating the world record: 231.5 and 232.5 kg! The athlete also took second place in the absolute standings,” the statement said.
The Ukrainian national team showed an impressive result, winning 48 medals of various kinds. The competition was attended by athletes of all age groups, from youngsters to veterans, and in almost every category the blue and yellow flag was raised to the podium.

Veterans:
Among the veterans of the fourth age group (M4), Kokourova Valentyna from Poltava became the silver medalist of the championship with a score of 37.5 kg in the weight category of up to 63 kg.
Natalia Ivankova from Poltava became the champion in the 47 kg weight category among veterans of the second age group (M2). She lifted a barbell weighing 62.5 kg.
In the M1 age group, Oksana Gordienko from Poltava took second place in the 52 kg category with a score of 67.5 kg.
Tetyana Maslyanchuk from Kyiv took fifth place in the 69 kg weight category among veterans of the first age group (M1) with a score of 92.5 kg.
Bozhyk Andrii from Kolomyia, among the masters of the third age group (M3), took 8th place in the weight category up to 105 kg with a result of 115 kg.
Volodymyr Moroz from Chernivtsi, among the veterans of the second age group, took the fourth place in the standings in the weight category up to 59 kg with a result of 82.5 kg. Coaches: N.S. Yasenetska, I.O. Yasenetskyi.




Kharkiv resident Oleksandr Chernyshov took fourth place in the 66 kg category among veterans of the second age group (M2), having squeezed a 135 kg barbell. Coached by M.P. Yermolenko.
Leonid Plotnytskyi from Kharkiv won a silver medal among the masters of the second age group (M2) in the weight category up to 93 kg. The athlete’s result was 192.5 kg. The coach is O.V. Chernyshov.
Vyacheslav Petrov from Poltava took second place among the veterans of the second age group (M2) in the weight category up to 120 kg with a result of 205 kg. Coaches: I.V. Rashoyants (p), O.V. Gordienko.
Yaroslav Sytar from Zakarpattia took sixth place in the weight category over 120 kg among veterans of the second age group (M2), conquering 180 kg. The coach is M.P. Mohylnikov.




Girls:
Anna Novitskaya from Chernivtsi became the world champion in the weight category under 43 kg with a result of 45 kg. Coach D.E. Lenko.
Yelyzaveta Andreeva from Poltava took third place in the 52 kg weight category with a score of 65 kg. Coaches: M.M. Ivankov, N.O. Neryanov.
Dominika Ataieva from Kamianske won a bronze medal in the 76 kg category. The athlete’s result was 82.5 kg. Coach V.O. Malikov.
The Ukrainian national girls’ team took third place as a team.
Juniors:
Liudmyla Haisan from Chernivtsi is the world champion in the weight category up to 43 kg. The athlete conquered the barbell weighing 57.5 kg. Coaches: L.M. Plotnytskyi, N.S. Yasenetska.
Evgeniya Gevko from Horodenka, Ivano-Frankivsk region, won bronze in the weight category up to 47 kg, having conquered 67.5 kg. Her coach is I.D. Hevko.

Among the women of the open age group, Hanna Buturlym from Dnipro took the third step of the podium in the 57 kg weight category with a result of 107.5 kg. Coach V.V. Sysun.
Kadatska Anna from Popasna took 6th place in the category of up to 63 kg. 112.5 kg in the asset of the pupil A.V. Ivzhenko.
Men:

The fight in the weight category up to 93 kg was very intense, because all the athletes on the podium showed the same result of 227.5 kg! Bohdan Bohdan from Kyiv became the bronze medalist of the championship, our athlete was the heaviest among the winners by his own weight. Coach V.S. Naleikin.
In the weight category over 120 kg, 13th place in the standings was taken by Oleh Kovalchuk from Malyn, who conquered 207.5 kg. Coaches: U.M. Liutnyk, A.O. Balenkov.

Among the veterans of the fourth age group (M4), Valentina Kokourova from Poltava became the world champion in the weight category up to 63 kg. The athlete’s result was 45 kg. Her coach is N.O. Neryanov.
