Ukraine is critically underfunding education compared to Russia and leading European universities, and this directly affects the future security of the state. This statement was made by the President of the Kyiv School of Economics, Tymofiy Mylovanov, on the "Komersant Ukrainian" YouTube channel.
According to Milovanov, today Ukraine spends several times less per student than the aggressor country.
“We spend about 1,500 dollars a year per student. Russia spends four. This means that they will win the next war in a generation or two. They invest more in their managers, academics, opinion leaders and propagandists,” he said.
He emphasized that greater investment in education means training better managers, researchers and strategists, which is critical to a nation’s long-term survival.
