Skiftech, a company that develops training simulation systems, has won a contract from the US Army. This was announced by the company itself, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

They said that Skiftech was one of 10 companies contracted by the US Army to develop and maintain simulation equipment for military training.

“This long-term program aims to improve and sustain military simulation technologies, providing service members with access to realistic and effective systems,” Skiftech said in a statement.

According to GovCon Wire, the contract will last until March 5, 2035. In total, the US Department of Defense has allocated $921.1 million for this project.

Together with Skiftech, such large international companies as General Dynamics, Lockheed Martin, Cubic Defense, Saab, and others will participate in the project.

What does Skiftech do?

According to the company’s Facebook page, SKIFTECH technologies are the future of military training!

The company offers training that is as close as possible to real combat conditions using simulators to complex special systems.

For example, we offer the following:

– RPG-7 simulator: for training and exercising grenade launchers with the RPG-7 hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher.

– AGS-17 simulator: for training grenade launchers to fire the AGS-17 automatic machine gun.

– TM-62 mine simulator: for training tankers, sappers and engineers in tactical operations with anti-tank mines.

The company also offers training for storming fortified camps to simulate a defensive perimeter, training to locate and deactivate anti-personnel mines during an assault on the territory, and training to clear rooms with mines and traps from armed enemies.

Skiftech systems are already in use in training centers of the Armed Forces and the National Guard of Ukraine. According to company representatives, their solutions can reduce combat losses by up to 30% due to better training of personnel.

American drone manufacturers cooperate with Ukrainian developers

Despite its limited resources, Ukraine has gained experience in developing drones that has been tested in real combat conditions, and as a result, American companies working with the US Department of Defense have become interested in Ukrainian developments. The Wall Street Journal wrote about this

The publication, for example, mentions a partnership agreement concluded between Ukrainian manufacturers and the Southern California startup CX2, which uses its software on Ukrainian drones. This experience of cooperation has already been appreciated by the US Armed Forces.

Another joint venture is Blue Arrow. It was created by the Pittsburgh-based startup KEF Robotics and the Ukrainian company Sensorama Lab. The joint project develops software and sensor systems for drones that allow drones to operate in congested airspace and maintain high efficiency in combat conditions. This project has already received venture funding.
