Ukrainian Paralympians earned over $8 million in Paris

Ukrainian Paralympic athletes who competed at the Paralympic Games in Paris earned more than $8 million in prize money provided by the state budget through the Ministry of Youth and Sports. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to Suspilne.
As with Ukrainian athletes who competed at the Olympic Games, the amount of prize money for Paralympic athletes was identical:
- “gold” medallists received $125,000,
- for silver and bronze medals, these amounts were $80,000 and $55,000 respectively.
Swimmer Andriy Trusov became the leader in the amount of prize money from the 2024 Paralympics among Ukrainians. For two golds and three silvers, he will receive prize money of $550 thousand.
Swimmers have the largest representation in the top 10 in terms of prize money – nine athletes. In addition to them, fencer Elena Fedota-Isaeva and runner Igor Tsvetov are among the top 10.

Representatives of the Ukrainian national team will receive the largest amount of prize money in swimming – $3.785 million. In athletics, this amount was $1.755 million.

- Athletics: 1.755 thousand dollars (1.755 million)
- Judo: 485 thousand
- Goalball: 480 thousand
- Fencing: 430 thousand
- Table tennis: 370 thousand

Thus, the Ukrainian Paralympians will be paid $8.095 million based on their performances at the Paris Games. In terms of hryvnias, this is 332.49 million hryvnias.
It should be noted that Ukraine won 82 medals at the 2024 Paralympic Games. This is the fifth best result among all national teams at the Games in Paris in terms of the number of medals and seventh place in the medal standings.
