The Ukrainian Defense Forces have used a new generation drone in combat for the first time – a drone “uterus” with artificial intelligence. This innovative development was created by the Brave1 defense cluster, as reported by the Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

According to the minister, the drone significantly increases the accuracy and efficiency of target destruction. It is a platform that can deliver two FPV strike drones to a distance of up to 300 km, after which they autonomously detect and destroy targets ranging from aircraft and air defense systems to enemy critical infrastructure.

If the drones operate at a distance of up to 100 km, they can be returned for reuse. The cost of one mission is about $10, 000, which is hundreds of times cheaper than launching a missile.

The heart of the system is SmartPilot, a navigation technology that combines video images with motion data. The built-in artificial intelligence is able to recognize and select targets on its own, making the system particularly effective on the modern battlefield.
