Ukrainian apple exports plummeted: minus 64% for the year

Ukraine exported 16.8 thousand tons of apples worth $10.1 million. This is 64% less in terms of quantity than in the 2023/24 season, when exports amounted to approximately 47 thousand tons of apples, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports citing EastFruit.
Such data are provided by analysts of USPA Fruit following the results of the export season 2024/25 in the market review of the magazine “Gardening in Ukrainian”.
According to its head Volodymyr Gurzhiy, the average export price for the marketing year increased again, reaching $600/t. There was also a negative balance of foreign trade, as from July 2024 to June 2025, Ukraine imported 18.2 thousand tons of apples, almost all of which (18 thousand tons) were imported since the beginning of this year.
The main buyers of Ukrainian apples in the marketing year that ended were the United Arab Emirates (2.9 thou tons), Saudi Arabia (2.9 thou tons), Uzbekistan (1.5 thou tons), Turkey (1.4 thou tons) and Sweden (0.9 thou tons).
