Ukrainian sugar: 90% of exports are concentrated in five producers

Almost 90% of sugar exports from Ukraine in 2024/25 MY were provided by 5 companies. This was reported by the National Association of Sugar Producers of Ukraine “Ukrtsukor” on its Facebook page, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

As specified, the top 5 sugar exporters at the end of the season included Radekhivskyi Sugar, Astarta-Kyiv, Ukrprominvest-Agro, Aspik Group and Teofipol Sugar Plant.

Ukrtsukor also reminded that in 2024/25 MY (September-August 202), Ukraine supplied 580 thousand tons of sugar to foreign markets for a total of $294 million.

Despite a full-scale war, logistical chaos and reduced domestic consumption, Ukrainian sugar producers set a historical record in 2024: more than 746 thousand tons of sugar exported and $419 million in foreign exchange earnings.
