Ukrainians are switching to hybrids: the most popular models are named

In the first quarter of 2024, more than 4.7 thousand hybrid passenger cars were added to Ukraine’s vehicle fleet. This is 59% more than last year, Komersant Ukrainsky reports, citing Ukrautoprom.

The share of new cars in this number was 51%.

In the new passenger car segment, TOYOTA RAV-4 (480 units) became the hybrid market leader

TOYOTA Camry wassecond (221 units)

Thethird most popular is NISSAN Qashqai (164 units)

In the registrations of imported used cars with hybrid powertrains, the first place is held by FORD Fusion US (255 units)

Also in the top three: CHEVROLET Volt (138 units) and TOYOTA Prius (136 units).

A hybrid car is a highly economical vehicle that is powered by an electric motor-engine combustion system, consuming both fuel and an electric battery charge.

The main advantage of a hybrid car is a reduction in fuel consumption and emissions.
