In Ukrainian cities suffering from Russian attacks, residents were given 50,000 “heat packages.”
This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko after a meeting with the heads of regional military administrations, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
“I held a meeting with the heads of regional military administrations. The energy and social stability of communities is the focus of the government’s attention,” she wrote on Telegram.
“We looked at the needs of the regions for rapid energy recovery, including heat packages for people with disabilities and single pensioners. As of now, more than 50,000 packages have been distributed across all regions, with special attention paid to frontline regions and areas with complicated energy supplies,” Svyrydenko said.
Additional programs to support communities and ensure the energy independence of condominiums and apartment buildings were also discussed. Appropriate government programs are being prepared.
“It is the responsibility of the regions to provide backup power sources and fuel reserves for all critical infrastructure facilities,” the prime minister added.
Recall that President Volodymyr Zelensky promised that the volume of the heat package program in Kyiv would be increased. In the near future, the program will distribute 40,000 such packages to people, with a significant portion going to Kyiv.
