The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has drafted a resolution to strengthen control over military registration. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the The Ministry of for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine.

The project was developed by the Ministry of Reintegration, the Ministry of Defence, the State Migration Service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the General Staff of the Armed Forces.

“Now the process of registering recruits will be automated. The boys will not have to undergo a medical examination, and all the necessary data about them will be collected from other registers. This will significantly save time for both the employees of the recruitment and enlistment offices and the boys who will be registered,” said Deputy Minister of Defence Kateryna Chernogorenko.

What changes are envisaged by the resolution

Boys aged 17-25 will be registered for military service without undergoing a military qualification examination, even if they live abroad.

Men aged 18-60 who apply for passports abroad will be checked for the validity of military registration documents through the Trembita system.

Boys aged 16-25 who apply for a passport will be automatically entered into the USRPVR without undergoing a military registration certificate. This applies to both those in Ukraine and abroad.

A list of men aged 16-60 will be compiled for inclusion in the USRPVR and military registration.
