Ukraine will be hit by the Petralilly anticyclone: weather forecast for September 26

Today, September 26, the Petralilly anticyclone centered roughly over the Baltic will cause dry and sunny weather almost everywhere in Ukraine. This was reported by weather forecaster Natalia Didenko, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
The air temperature is expected to be moderate – 13…16 degrees during the day, 15…18 degrees in the south.
“It will be cold at night, 2… 9 degrees. In the north, in some places in the west, northeast and center, there will be frost on the ground,” the report says.
On September 26, dry, sunny, cool weather will prevail in Kyiv with an air temperature of 2… 5 degrees at night, frosts on the ground are likely in the suburbs, this afternoon in the capital 13… 15 degrees
However, on Sunday, September 28, the anticyclone will give way to an atmospheric front from the northeast, which will “dampen” the reputation of the northern part of Ukraine with rains and cloudy weather. These rains will cover the northern regions and Volyn, Rivne and Kharkiv.
Dry weather will prevail in the rest of the country on September 28.
According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, dry weather with partly cloudy skies will remain in Ukraine. Forecasters do not predict precipitation on this day.
Night temperatures:
- 1° to 6° is expected in most regions;
- in the north, frosts on the soil surface and in the air are expected to be 0…-3°.
Daytime temperatures:
- in the central and northern regions, the air will warm up to 12…17°;
- in the southern regions, Transcarpathia and Crimea, it will be warmer during the day – 14…19°, and at night – 4…9°.
In general, forecasters note that the last days of September will be characterized by cooler weather, especially at night.
