In addition, on some rivers of the Western Bug sub-basin (Lviv and Volyn regions), water levels are expected to rise by 0.1-0.6 meters, followed by flooding of floodplains on the Western Bug River near the Kamianka-Buzka post and the Poltva River near the Busk post (Lviv region).

Weather forecaster Vitaliy Postrygan emphasized that the sharp change in weather is due to the return of Cyclone Gabriel, which caused disasters in the west of the country in the first decade of July.
Currently, the cyclonic vortex in northern Europe has regenerated and is moving back to western Ukraine and Belarus. So the heat will recede and give us some respite, but it won’t last long.
